Columns appear in the order you picked them. “n/a” means the source didn't state it. Supplies are part numbers the shredder's own manufacturer lists for that model.
How the “At a glance” notes are written
Each model page has short pros and considerations. We write them from the sourced specifications only, with the same fixed thresholds for every model and brand. They are not scores, they don't compare models against each other, and they aren't taken from customer reviews.
- Security. P-3 to P-7: what that level suits (per our security-level guide). P-2: a consideration that strip-cut is for non-personal documents. A range (several cutters): a pro for choice of security, a consideration to confirm the cutter. NSA/CSS evaluated is noted when the source says so.
- Sheets per pass. 20+ sheets: pro. 8 or fewer: consideration (larger stacks need several passes). Auto-feed models: pro for unattended stack shredding, with the auto-feed capacity.
- Bin. 30+ gal: pro (emptied less often). 15–29 gal: pro (department range). Under 8 gal: consideration (frequent emptying).
- Duty cycle. Continuous: pro. Runs 20+ min: pro. Runs 10 min or less: consideration (short jobs).
- Status. Discontinued or unconfirmed status: consideration.
- Supplies. Bag and oil part numbers listed by the manufacturer: pro. None verified: consideration.
- Missing data. Any of security, sheets, bin or duty cycle not stated by the source: consideration that it is not stated. Nothing is estimated.
